Summer Success at Stillwater Area Public Schools

As part of the Targeted Services program, each summer Stillwater Area Public Schools holds its “Summer Success” program. Designed for students to get an opportunity to catch up in school, as well as better prepare them for the upcoming school year, Summer Success uses not only traditional teaching methods, but also new and more engaging methods in the smaller environment.

Teachers are supported in the classroom by “Summer Success Leaders,” older students ranging from 8th through 12th grade. They play an active role as mentors to the students, helping them thrive in the classroom.

Mediamazing produced a short video highlighting the importance of the student leaders to the classroom and the district as a whole.
